Saudi Arabia & Fake News of C oup D'etat ~ Asif Nawaz With emergence of some fake news regarding a coup d'etat in Saudi Arabia, some people, especially the sheer opponents of Saudi Arabia and its policies, started cheering and celebrating the news. Whereas, the actual news was about an unidentified recreational drone which was hovering over a neighboring home to the Royal palace in Riyadh and subsequently it was shot down by the security forces with 30-second gunfire. This incident reflects insensitivity and mental object of the some of us who do not actually know what they wish for and what they are cheering upon. Though, Saudi Arabia recently is not good at few of its approaches and policies being adopted by its new Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to bring about a reform in Saudi society, culture, economy and foreign policy but an abrupt regime change can never be argued as a solution to the problem.
